Festival Fashion: The Best Dressed of Coachella 2016

Festival season in the UK does not kick off for a couple of months, but it has already kicked off over in the USA, with the world's most stylish festival...Coachella. The California festival attracts some of the world's most stylish celebrities so they can how off their best festival fashion.

I'm sure some even take a break from posing for photographs to take in some of the fabulous music that makes up the awesome 2016 line up, which includes the likes of Years & Years, Ellie Goulding, Sia, M83, LCD Soundsystem, and dozens of others.

The Jenner's always have their style game on point, and at Coachella it was no different. Kendall was cool and relaxed in a simple crop top and ripped jean shorts, which she teamed with some absolutely incredible Gladiator sandals. Kylie channelled some 90s vibes with a silk slip dress worn over a white tea, teamed with black ankle boots – how great is her lilac bob, very nice for Spring.

Model girls Alessandra Ambrosio and Suki Waterhouse, like Kendall Jenner, chose denim shorts, but styled them in completely different ways. Alessandra was all Boho beach babe, with bikini top, maxi kimono and beachy waves, complete with floral crown. Whilst Suki was more sports luxe, with a sparkling sequin sweater and sneakers, keeping her accessories simple, with just single black choker...stunning.

Downtown Abbey star Joanne Frogatt showed us all how to wear leopard print in the summer, with a stunning maxi dress that had a soft flowing skirt. She teamed her dress with layered necklaces, soft waves in her hair, and of course, oversized sunglasses – it's a look that is perfect for festivals, but will also be great for a summer night out. Stunning actress Freida Pinto also played with print, mixing tie-dye with florals, wearing a ditzy printed crop top and Bohemian tie-dye kimono. She showed off her beautiful legs in hoe denim dungarees and platform wedges. And like fellow actress Joanna, Freida finished off her Coachella style, with her oversized sunglasses.

Quirky and cool style was everywhere at Coachella. Festival style is no longer just about wellies and parkas any more, it is a place to really push you fashion boundaries, and embrace some fun fashion. Emma Roberts did just that with a super fun optical illusion mini dress, which she clashed with zebra printed brogues. Mad Men actress Kiernan Shipka, was effortlessly cool in a sheer organza dress with short and crop top co-ord underneath. Like Emma, Kiernan also went for a pair of quirky shoes with some platform silver brogues. Two seriously cool girls.

Now for two ladies who were on opposite ends of the style spectrum for Coachella style – super casual and super chic. Hailey Baldwn was on the casual end of the spectrum, with ripped denim shorts, crop top, sneakers, and the jacket of the season...the bomber. I'm absolutely loving the finishing touches to her look, including the body chain and those super cute pigtails. Emily Ratajkowski was super chic in a fitted crochet and lace maxi dress and strappy sandals. As the dress was quite detailed she kept accessories to a minimum, with the standard big sunglasses and glowing skin.

Festival fashion is no longer just for the fields – it has become one of the major trends for the Spring/Summer season.
