Best Dressed of the 2016 Golden Globes
The first big event of awards season has took place, with the 73rd annual Golden Globes being held on the 10th of January, in the Beverly Hilton in California. The hottest stars of film and television took to the red carpet to see if they would be one of the lucky ones to take home an award.
It is safe to say that 'The Revenant' was the big film winner of the night, picking up three of the big prizes, winning Best Drama Motion Picture, Best Director for Alejandro González Iñárritu, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for Leonardo DiCaprio – could this mean Leo is finally be on for the Oscar he so deserves?
The other big winner of the night was Sci-Fi flick, 'The Martian', which picked up the awards for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, and Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, for Matt Damon. Another congratulations should go to Sylvester Stallone, who picked up his first Golden Globe, who picked up the Best Supporting Actor award, for his performance in 'Creed'.
Rooney Mara looked ethereal in an embellished own by Alexander McQueen that matched her peaches and cream complexion. She added some of her trademark drama to her look with a deep red lip, strong brows and a sleek up-do...stunning! Orange is the New Black favorite Laverne Cox had glamour to spare in a crisp white gown from Elizabeth Kennedy, with a beautiful silhouette and flowing train. She added a touch of Old Hollywood, with a chic chignon and blackberry lip, and topped off her look with a cute box clutch.

It was nice to see some print on the red carpet, with Rachel McAdams wearing a gorgeous strapless floral gown by Lanvin, that really showed off the actress' curves. She let the dress do all of the talking by keeping accessories simple, and matched her lip to perfection. Kate Bosworth rarely puts a foot wrong on the red carpet, and the Golden Globes was no exception, where she wore a dreamy rose gold sequin gown from Dolce & Gabbana. The soft make up and matte nude lip was the perfect accompaniment to the sparkle or her dress...she definitely made a statement.

Julianne Moore wows every time she steps onto the red carpet, and at the 2016 Golden Globes she looked incredible in a midnight blue sequin gown from Tom Ford. Her luscious flame locks were styled into relaxed waves and, as expected, her make-up was flawless. Jenna Dewan Tatum also chose a midnight blue gown, in a full skirted embellished number by Zuhair Murad Couture. The deep neckline added plenty of drama, but she kept it youthful with a relaxed up-do and glowing make-up.

Mother of Dragons Emilia Clarke was all Gothic glamour in an out of this world embellished caped gown from Valentino Haute Couture. She kept the make up sultry and swept her hair up to show off the gown's high neckline, and just look at those jewels. Jennifer Lopez also chose a caped gown, in a sunny yellow Giambattista Valli Haute Couture that she teamed with a killer pair of silver Jimmy Choo heels. Top marks for matching her burgundy lips to her nails, and the stunning flicked out honey locks. J-Lo just continues to get better with age.

Kirsten Dunst brought some va-va-voom to the red carpet, and showed off her enviable curves in a cleavage flaunting gown by Valentino Haute Couture. She made sure she stood out, with some seriously sultry smoky eyes and some bling Fred Leighton jewellery. Hot property of the moment Eva Green looked positively magical in a golden lace own by Elie Saab Haute Couture and Repossi Jewellery. The colour worked perfectly with her dreamy skin tone, and her bold red lip , cool ear cuff, and messy waves, added an edgy touch.
